Alex Christ

Partner, Advanced Venture Partners

Alex Christ is a General Partner at Advance Venture Partners (AVP), where he joined the team at inception in 2015. He leads the firm’s investing efforts in applied data platforms, robotics and physical world automation, and vertical AI/SaaS. Alex currently serves as a board director or observer at Above Average, Conceivable Life Sciences, Ditto, Ergatta, Openly, and PebblePost and led or is involved with the firm’s investments in Affinity, Armstrong Robotics, GrayMatter Robotics, and Seneca. Other previous investments include Tegus (acquired by AlphaSense), DemandStar (acquired by GTY Technologies), and Sawyer (acquired by DaySmart).

Prior to joining AVP, Alex was an early member of the growth equity investing team at ICONIQ Capital, where he focused on investments in enterprise software, financial technology, and consumer e-commerce verticals. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in the Global Technology Group in Menlo Park, where he executed mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, and private placements for technology companies.

Alex received his BBA with a double major in accounting and finance from the University of Iowa. He resides in San Francisco, California.
